Tracklib unveils one of the most relevant global surveys on AI in music production, capturing the real sentiment of 1700 producers, representing 20 million producer-market worldwide!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 11.00am EST, November 19, 2025
Tracklib, the platform behind pre-cleared sampling for music creators, announces the release of Music Producers & AI 2025, a comprehensive global study examining how producers think about, adopt, and pay for AI tools in their creative workflow. Based on 1,734 respondents representing a paying global producer market of 20 million people, the report provides one of the clearest data-driven snapshots of how AI is reshaping modern music creation.
The study reveals a highly divided landscape. While 17% are in favor of AI, 45% remain neutral, and 38% are against it. Adoption, however, is still limited: 32% use AI tools today, and most rely on assistive use cases such as stem separation, EQ, and mastering. Fully generative tools, like prompt-based song creation, remain niche, used by only 6% of producers.

Producers clearly separate assistive AI from generative AI. Stem splitting, EQ, and workflow accelerators are widely accepted. But when it comes to full-song generation, the attitudes shift sharply toward skepticism, concerns about artistry, and copyright.
